There are a variety of ways to distribute your video or film program with different purposes, advantages and disadvantages to each. Here’s just a few thoughts to begin considering.
VHS: You don't see VHS much anymore, but some people still use them. Although not recommended, VHS can still be used to get your message out. Also, keep in mind that VHS is easily copied even when it has been copyrighted.
VIDEO EMAIL: Can you utilize video in your emails? This is still a novelty, and if done right, you can definitely get you customer’s attention.
DVD: When considering DVD, you should realize that there is still no one single DVD format standard, so not every DVD will play in every DVD player. Then you need to consider whether you create a DVD that is authored with menu selections and chapters, or do you go the simpler route of a simple play only DVD (no graphic menus and chapters, you just put it in the DVD player and push the play button).
INTERACTIVE CD: Interactive CD is a great alternative for customers that move high volumes of videos, don’t want to pay for more expensive DVD’s, and need to include more content than just video. An Interactive CD can include web links, product registration links, email links, videos, audio, pictures, text files, e-books, pdf’s, and a whole lot more. These are great for product manufacturers that want to include a disc with there product instead of more expensive bulky manuals and sometimes even VHS videos. The experience for the user is similar to browsing a website, but in this case everything is right there on the disc and is instant access. You can also include specialized files like CAD, Word Documents, and more, and then we can include the free viewer/player software for that file right on the disc.
INTERNET VIDEO: Internet video is great and springing up everywhere, but which format should you use? Windows Media, QuickTime, MPG, Real Video, Flash Video, and so on. Each has it’s own unique set of characteristics and advantages. And then there’s the question of who’s going to see your online video. Do a lot of your viewers still use dial up which is not very good for online video, or are you confident your audience is primarily using fast access connections? For example, most business to business users of online video are most likely all using a fast access connection, therefore you can dispose of the smaller low quality online video clips and just go with higher quality larger files.
PODCASTING: Video can also now be delivered to wireless devices such as IPOD's, Cell Phones, and other portable devices. This is a great add-on to internet video and has many possibilities.
RETAIL VIDEO: Need your video in a retail location? In an exhibit? Then preparing your video for playback on a plasma screen or even a wall of VGA TV’s might be what you need. What about an interactive kiosk? There are many options to consider.
TV / BROADCASTING: If you need to broadcast you video or program, we can offer assistance in that area as well.
