About Our Founder

CHRISTOPHER A. SKALA

Producer, Director, Entrepreneur

Chris has been involved in the broadcast, video, and film production business for over 25 years.  His first professional experience was in the production of live and taped talk shows and music programs for a national satellite cable network. 

 Today Chris heads LifeStyle Video, a company he started in 1984.  Over the years Chris has produced and directed programming such as corporate image videos, marketing and training videos, commercials, TV shows, documentaries, children's videos and other specialty videos for retail.  Chris and his company also produce big events through the company’s Event Services division.  The largest was in the Georgia Dome with over 65,000 people and is now considered by some to be the largest business meeting under one roof.

 In 2006 Chris and a team of other independent film production professionals entered the 48 Hour Film Project competition (www.48hourfilm.com). Chris directed the short film “In Pursuit of Happiness” which won awards for both Best Music Score and Audience Choice Award.

 Over the years Chris has also produced and directed numerous business programs with guest speakers and entertainers such as President Ronald Reagan, President George Bush, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Newt Gingrich, Zig Ziglar, George Foreman, Barbara Mandrell, Peggy Lee, Jeff Foxworthy, Marie Osmond, the Smothers Brothers and more.

 Working with a small staff of professionals, Chris’ business now focuses mainly on three core areas; consumer video for retail and point-of-purchase, broadcast programs, and media rich websites.

 Some of Chris’ more recent projects include campaign commercials for congresswoman Sue Myrick, “The Webolution” video sponsored by IBM, “Life Style Portraits” - a video series developed for key distributors of a large network marketing company to communicate their life story and accomplishments to their international market, “First Gold” - a documentary that Chris both wrote and hosted for Reed Gold Mine which is the site of Americas’ first gold rush, marketing-training-and cooking videos for Big Green Egg (www.biggreenegg.com), “What’s The Next Big Thing” – a video for network marketing businesses, 5 disc workout video series and infomercial for BalletSport (www.balletsport.com), and five 35 mm film commercials for Sadafco, a Saudi Arabian food conglomerate.
